FNQ’s premier grappling event returns, welcoming junior and adult competitors across Gi and No-Gi divisions in a professionally run, spectator-friendly environment.
We are awarding $250 to each competitor in the most entertaining match of the day.
• Best Adult Match — $250 per athlete
• Best Kids Match — $250 per athlete
That’s $500 awarded per match.

The 2026 NQ Cup is open to all junior and adult competitors in Gi and No-Gi and follows IBJJF rules.
This event uses a Round Robin Pool format where divisions of up to five competitors guarantee multiple matches.
Competing in both Gi and No-Gi can provide up to eight matches.
Our goal is to maximise mat time, experience, and development for athletes of all levels.
Pre-registration only — no entries on the day.
Normal Registration (1 or 2 divisions)
Register before March 15, 11:59pm — $100. Absolute Division — $15
Late Registration (1 or 2 divisions)
Register before March 18, 11:59pm — $120. Absolute Division — $20
Competitor lists remain live during registration.
After registration closes, competitors have until 11am the following day to make changes.
Athletes alone in divisions may move themselves or cancel for full credit.
Where possible, solo competitors may be merged.
If no matches are available, a full coupon credit will be issued.
Credits only — no cash refunds.
If you receive no matches or an opponent does not show, a full coupon credit will be issued.
Brackets and schedule are released 48 hours before the event.
Athletes must be present at least 60 minutes before their division start time.
Weigh-ins occur on the day.
You weigh in once, without the gi if preferred.
Must be completed at least 60 minutes before your division.
One coach chair per competitor at the score table.
Only athletes on deck and competing are permitted inside barricades.
Gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to all podium finishers.
TV scoreboards display athlete name, team and match details.
Results update live on Smoothcomp.
Brown and black belts receive free registration.
