# 2026 SPRING CUP > Competition in Blackfalds, Alberta, Canada | February 28, 2026 – March 01, 2026 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** The CLBJJ invites you to come and compete at our first event of 2026 in Blackfalds, Alberta! We look forward to hosting this ONE DAY event and hope to see you there! This event has a participant cap! Once the maximum capacity has been reached, registration will close and WILL NOT re-open, so register while you can! *Please note that the event does not grant access to the rest of the Abbey Center. Participants and spectators are welcome to use the gym in which we are located, but must pay to use the weight room and play center outside of our event* **Theschedule for the event will be as follows;** **MORNING:** KIDS GI / KIDS NO GI / INTERMISSION **AFTERNOON:** ADULT GI / ADULT GI ABSOLUTE / ADULT NO GI / ADULT NO GI ABSOLUTE *ABSOLUTE BRACKETS WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED OR BEGIN UNTIL ALL WEIGHT DIVISIONS FOR THAT RESPECTIVE BELT LEVEL HAVE CONCLUDED* Please be advised that the schedule will update throughout the day, so we recommend showing up first thing in the morning to help us keep the event running as smoothly as possible! **The doors to the event will open at 8:30am with fights to follow at 9:30am!** **SPECTATOR FEE:** $15 per person. All Coaches must apply for a Coach pass by emailing info@clbjj.com**BEFORE**Late Registration closes. Each team is permitted to have 2 coaches register for a coaches pass. **Who gets FREE admission?** - ONE parent per child 12 years old and UNDER - TWO coaches per team (Please be sure to register yourself as a coach by sending an email to info@clbjj.com) - ALL children under the age of 8 **PRICING** KIDS: Early Bird: $70 - 1 Division / $120 - 2 Divisions Normal: $80 - 1 Division / $140 - 2 Divisions Late: $100 - 1 Division / $160 - 2 Divisions ADULT: Early Bird: $80 *Free admission into absolute* Normal: $100 *Free admission into absolute* Late: $120 *Free admission into absolute* **You MUST make weight and be ready to compete in your respective weight class in order to participate in the absolute divisions* **Scheduled intermissions are 15 minutes in duration** **Your final day to change your class (belt,age AND/OR weight) is at 11:59pm on the 26TH OF FEBRUARY. Any requests to change after this date will be denied** **Refunds will be given on a case-by-case basis. Please note that failure to arrive to the event, failure to make weight or missed matches do not qualify for a refund.** **Athlete edition deadline is FEBRUARY 26TH. YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CHANGE DIVISIONS AFTER THIS DATE** **ALL ATHLETES MUST MAKE WEIGHT ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. FAILURE TO MAKE WEIGHT WILL RESULT IN AN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION** No movement requests are processed by CLBJJ Staff via email while Registration is open. Changes to any Athlete's Registration, or Cancellation to any Athlete's Registration, MUST be initiated by the Adult Athlete or Youth Athlete's Parent/Guardian in Smoothcomp.**Login to your profile and select "My Account". Then, click "Edit" for this event. To cancel an athlete's registration, click "Cancel".** **NO MOVEMENT REQUESTS ARE PERMITTED AFTER LATE REGISTRATION CLOSES AND OUR SCHEDULE IS RELEASED. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE IN THE APPROPRIATE WEIGHT CLASS BEFORE LATE REGISTRATION ENDS.** Adult Athletes, and Parents/Guardians of Youth Athletes, are SOLELY responsible for ensuring they are registered in the proper weight category BEFORE Late Registration Closes.
