To preserve sporting integrity, fair competitiveness, and alignment with ADCC international standards, the following Anti-Sandbagging Policy is hereby established, applicable to all athletes, regardless of belt, age, or length of training.
Any athlete who wins 03 (three) gold medals in a higher skill category (more advanced division) is permanently prohibited from returning to a lower category, regardless of formal rank (belt), training time, or team declaration. For youth athletes, this rule applies within the same age group. Thus, after the third gold medal in the higher division, the athlete must remain in that division until advancing to the next age group.
Example: If an 11–12-year-old athlete, gray belt (eligible for the “Intermediate” division), wins three gold medals in the “Advanced” division, they must remain in the Advanced division in all future competitions while they are in the 11–12 age group, or permanently in the case of adult categories.
Any athlete who wins 05 (five) gold medals in the same skill category will be automatically required to move up to the next higher division, regardless of their current rank/belt and regardless of the absence of a formal promotion.
