**Description:** Welcome to Hong Kong AFG Summerslam Jiu Jitsu competition! This exciting event is designed specifically for Adult White and Blue Belts, who are interested in learning and competing in the sport of Jiu-Jitsu. Our team of experienced instructors and referees works hard to ensure that all matches are conducted safely and fairly. We believe that competition is an important part of the learning process for everyone, and our goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment where everyone can challenge themselves, and have fun while learning the art of Jiu-Jitsu.

REGISTRATION FEE

HKD 400 / weight

HKD 500 / weight + open weight

BELT DIVISION

Adult Female and Male White Belts, Adult Female and Male Blue Belts, 

MATCH DURATION

5 mins for Adult Male and Female White Belts;  6 mins for Adult Male and Female Blue Belts; 

WEIGHT DIVISION

Rooster / light feather / feather / light / middle / medium heavy / heavy / super heavy

RULES FOR COMPETITORS

1) NO slamming opponent

2) NO heel hooks or twisting knee locks

3) NO striking

4) NO biting, hair-pulling, or eye-gauging

5) NO cervical neck cranks

6) NO jumping

Scoring System:

In BJJ competitions, a competitor can win a match by submission, points, advantage, or referee's decision.

Here's a breakdown of the scoring system:

Throws and/or takedowns: 2 points

Knee on belly: 2 points

Sweep: 2 points

Passing the guard: 3 points

Top mount position: 4 points

Control from the back (Back mount and/or Back Grab): 4 points

Advantage: is determined by aggressiveness, submission attempts, takedown attempts, and superior positioning.
