# ARTE SUAVE CUP TAMPA 2019

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** We are excited for you to experience what we have to offer! We have high quality equipment and personnel. All referees are seasoned black belt BJJ practitioners to provide you with quality officiating. The brackets will be posted with estimated times and is updated constantly so that you are not waiting around all day to compete. There will be two large TV's in the bullpen area so you can check your match status at any time. You can also utilize your own smartphone to do the same. We will also be providing a warm up mat so you are not cold when called for your match.

All early registrations are guaranteed a FREE T-Shirt! You also will receive a heavy, quality medal if you place. If you win an expert division you will receive our metal championship cup. This cup is awesome and unlike what anybody else is offering for individual awards. There will be cash prizes for absolute divisions for all absolute competitors.

Our first 2019 event is being held at the USF Tampa campus in the beautiful East Gym.

We will be using IBJJF rules (**with modifications**).

All leg submissions are allowed including heel hooks for 18yo+ Purple, Brown, and Black Belts (NO-GI DIVISIONs ONLY, GI DIVISIONS WILL FOLLOW MODIFIED IBJJF LEGAL AND ILLEGAL RULES)

We will have a competitor bullpen with ring coordinators.

WEIGH-INS

-Weigh-ins will be on Saturday only.

Weight-ins Schedule will be released along with Brackets.

-Event will start at 9:00 am sharp.

-You must follow the weight in schedule  prior to your division. If you are late for weigh-ins, you WILL be disqualified and NO voucher or refund will be given. So, please plan ahead your day and give yourself plenty time to get to the venue, traffic and time to find parking.

-You do HAVE to weigh in with your Gi on.(KIDS, TEENS AND ADULTS)-Please have a valid ID .

IF YOU DON'T MAKE WEIGHT, YOU WILL BE DQ, THERE WILL BE A SCALE TO CHECK YOUR WEIGHT BEFORE YOUR FINAL WEIGH IN.

-You only have to weigh in once, even if participating in multiple divisions.

**COACH information.**

**FOR KIDS 13 AND UNDER:**

**-UNFORTUNALLY WE CAN NOT WAIT ON COACHES, THE TOURNMENT SCHEDULE IS SET AND MUST BE ON TIME, WAITING ON COACHES WILL DELAY THE EVENT, PLEASE PLAN AHEAD AND BE SURE YOU BRING THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF COACHES TO THE EVENT. NOTE: ( PARENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE INSIDE THE BARRICADES COACHING THEIR KIDS)**

**-Coach’s passes will be provided free of charge depending on the number of competitors from your school.**

**-3-10 competitors: 2 Coach’s Passes**

**-11-15 competitors: 3 Coach’s Passes**

**-16-20 competitors: 4 Coach’s Passes**

**-21+ competitors: 5 Coach’s Passes**

For competitors on the mat that are ages 13 and under, we will allow ONE COACH per competitor inside the barricades, In case the coach is busy we will allow 1 parent to assist the child allong with the runner to the ring, the parent can coach at the time, if coach clears up , parent must exit the barricades immediately. (THIS WILL BE ENFORCED 100%,

ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS)

**-For competitors 14 years of age and OLDER , we will NOT allow any coaches inside the barricades.**

**-Parents are NOT allowed to purchase coach’s passes unless there is not a coach from your academy present.**

**-If you need to bring more coaches than the number of passes provided, they are available for purchase at the door.**

**SPECTATORS**

$10 at the door or online today.

**ABSOLUTE DIVISIONS - $20 per absolute division**

Must have competed in at least one regular division.
