# AVA VICTORIA SUBMISSION GRAPPLING - BRITISH COLUMBIA

**Description:** The AVA VICTORIA SUBMISSION GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP is a regional tournament will be ranked in the Season 2024 (1 x Placement Points)

Capacity: 350 Registrations

AVA is a submission grappling robin tournament that offers the maximum number of matches to all competitors. Experience the pure form of grappling where submissions are the ultimate win.

Tournament Date:

*Competitors: Please be at your mat number 10min before your scheduled first match.

*Gym Policy: Per the rules of the facility, food and open cup
drinks are strictly prohibited. Covered bottles, and mugs, etc. are the only
items allowed in the gym.

*Restricted Access: Access is prohibited to all areas,
including classrooms, library, hallways, etc., with the exception of the gym.

*Parking Regulations: Parking at Central is extremely
limited. Parking on grass fields or fire lanes is strictly forbidden and will
be enforced to ensure access for emergency vehicles.

· $80 Early Bird (Deadline November 19)

· $95 Normal (Deadline December 24)

· $110 Late (Deadline January 7)

· $50 for additional Divisions

*IMPORTANT: All registration requests AFTER late registration deadline will be accommodated at twice the rate of the late registration price. We reserve the right to decline service to anyone, as allowed by our regulations and policies.

All competitors will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 fights and a maximum of 12 or more if you are entered in the Gi and Nogi divisions.

Matches are won by submissions. The tournament is designed to incentivize submission wins in regulation time.

· Submission Victory in Regulation: Awarded 4 Points

· Submission Victory in Overtime: Awarded 2 Points

· Fastest Escape (Applies only to overtime): Awarded 1 Point

· Victory by Decision: Awarded 1 Point

· Walkover Victory (Walkover defined as due to injury, forfeit, or no show): Awarded 3 Points

· Victory by Disqualification: Awarded 3 Points

· Custom AVA Ultra medals for all top 3 placements

· AVA Ultra Belt for #1 Pro champions

· Trophies for Top 3 overall teams

· Trophies for Top 3 overall adult teams

· Trophies for Top 3 overall kid teams

New to Jiu-jitsu? We have a 6 months and under White Belt Division to give new competitors the chance to compete fairly against other competitors new to Jiu-Jitsu.

There will be a chair provided for the coach of each competitor. The barricaded area is restricted to only staff, competitors, and registered coaches.

One coach is allowed for every three competitors from their team.

· a separate mat area will be provided for upcoming competitors in the divisions scheduled

· Ring coordinators will collect division athletes in this area. Please be present in this area before your scheduled match

· a 65” TV will be setup to display in real time up and coming matches

· a 45” TV will be setup to display in real time the up-and-coming podium results

· Seating will be provided at the waiting area for placement athletes standing by

· a picture will be taken for each podium ceremony

· All placement athletes will receive a customized medal

A medical team will be on-site to provide any necessary medical services.

Each mat will have a TV displaying the athlete names and match progress.

Apparel and gear will be available for purchase.

Support will be provided for information and questions at the customer support table.
