Widely regarded as the greatest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor of all time. 10-time IBJJF World Champion — the most world titles in BJJ history — and 2-time ADCC Submission Wrestling World Champion. Earned his black belt under his father Maurício Gomes. Famous for his dominant mount and cross-collar choke, submitting virtually every opponent he faced in competition. Also competed in MMA with bouts in Strikeforce and ONE Championship. Founded the Roger Gracie Academy in London, which has expanded into an international network of affiliated schools.

IBJJF European No Gi and ADCC Trials Champion Julia is a Norwegian BJJ athlete and competitor, training under professor Felipe Mota at Oxy Gym in Sandnes. Since earning her black belt in November 2018, she has placed 2nd at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam (-62 kg) and won the ADCC European/Middle East/African trials (-60 kg) in 2022.
