# Brighton BJJ 247 Winter Open 2020 > Competition in Bridgnorth, England, United Kingdom | February 23, 2020 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** Please be aware of road closures in Brighton on the day of the event. The venue will be accessible from 7.30am In order for The Grand Brighton Half Marathon to be safe for everyone involved we need to close some roads. We work closely with Sussex Police, Brighton & Hove City Council and The AA to ensure that there is minimum disruption across the city. The following roads will be closed (timings are approximations only): 02:00-19:00 – Madeira Drive 08:15-12:00 – Old Steine, Marlborough Place, Gloucester Place, Grand Parade, Pavilion Parade, Richmond Terrace, St Peter’s Place 08:15-11:45 – Marine Parade, Marine Drive 08:15-13:30 – Kings Road to West Street (Westbound & Eastbound lanes) 09:15 – 13:00 – Kings Road, Kingsway (Westbound lane only), Grand Avenue Wherever possible, alternate routes will be advised and signed on the day of the event. All the road closures will be staffed by event stewards. Other roads adjacent to these roads may be affected. All closure points will be marshalled. You can make these changes by logging into your account and modifying your registration details. After this change deadline, your registration will become locked in, and there will no further changes allowed. We reserve the right to merge you after change deadline if you are alone in your division into another fair division if available. **BRACKETS and SCHEDULE:**48 hours prior to the tournament, the event brackets and tentative schedule will be released. You will be able to locate both on the event page brackets and schedule tab. You can also tell when your matches are coming up by checking the tab on your mobile device during the competition. We will also make a Annoucement for you on the microphone to come to the mat. Please be at the mat on time for your matches. **WEIGH-INS:**Takes place on the day of the event. You must make weight for your division or else you will be disqualified. You only need to weigh-in once if competing in several divisions. We ask that you make sure to be present in the venue at least 60 minutes prior your division start time as well in case we are able to get head starts on certain division. **MEDALS and PODIUM PHOTOS:**Beautiful gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to all podium finishers. During the post-week of events, we will upload an album of an event's podium photos to our Facebook page. **MEDIC ON HAND:**There will be a trained and professional medic on sight. **WARM UP MATS**: We try our best to always provide a warm up mat area for our competitors during tournaments. In cases which events reach close to or full capacity, we could be restricted from having the floor space to create a warm up area for our competitors. **TV SCOREBOARDS:**State of the art 40inch score boards. Competitor’s name, team, and flag are displayed, along with the match’s division and match number. **BEST OVERALL TEAM**: Team standings, points, and medal counts are live updated to and readily available on the results tab of the event page. **DIVISION RESULTS:**Division brackets along with their final placements are live updated to and readily available on the results tab of the event page. **RANKINGS:**We track rankings for both competitors and teams by the Annual Season and by Overall Lifetime. Competitor rankings are categorised by genders, ages, weights, and belt or experience.
