# Champions Choice Spring Open > Competition in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada | April 13, 2024 – April 14, 2024 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** Champions Choice BJJ series is proud to present a Kids ages 4-15, Juvenile, and adult Gi/ No gi Jiu jitsu submission tournament. Location is Kamloops Christian School Gymnasium, Kamloops, BC on Saturday April 13th, 2024 starting at 9am . Doors open at 8am for child weigh ins, 9am for adult and juvenille weigh ins. Kids tournament commences at 9am, Adults approximately 1030, but is subject to change , so be there early. Children will be disqualified if found to be more than 2 lb over weight, please ensure you weigh your child with Gi on prior to making your entry. Adults must make weight, or will be disqualified. Weigh ins are done with Gi on and belt ( usually weighs 4lb). Competitors for NO GI may weigh in without Gi if fighting No Gi only. No Gi divisions will follow immediately after Gi divisions. Entrants will have a 2 match guarantee. There is an option to weigh in the night before the tournament at the venue between 6 and 7 pm. Bring your Gi to weigh in if you are competing in GI. Adult divisions consist of male and female white to purple belt, adult and masters one division (over 30) . (Brown and black ) belt lightweight and heavyweight divisions. There Is also the opportunity For Gold, silver and Bronze medallists in their**GI division**to enter and compete to win a white, Blue, Purple,( brown/ Black) Male Absolute belts. Ladies will have the opportunity to compete for an Absolute**GI Belt**( All belt Divisions mixed) . There will be a 200$ Cash Prize for the Black Belt Gold Winners and ALL blackbelts will have free registration. There will also be a**200$**Cash Prize for**AbsoluteBrown & Black BeltGOLDWinners Only.** Early bird registration commences on November 28, 2023, and ends on January 1st 2024 Kids, Adults and Juveniles - Early Bird price -$90 Normal price $110 for one division- add $ 30 for a second division eg- Gi/ No gi. Normal registration begins January 2nd at 0800. Registration closes April 6th 2024 at 11pm. The event will be contested under standard IBJJF rules. Matches are won by submission during regulation time or overtime by referee decision. check out the IBJJF website for the list of rules. We will be running both Gi and No GI divisions. Tiebreaker Settings In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be used in order of priority to determine the winner: Kids Gi and No GI Divisions will be 3 minute matches. All Adults and Juveniles will be 5 minute matches Master divisions are 5 minute matches. Spectators Fee is $5 per person or $10 per family. Coaches are free and do not require a pass for this tournament. Boys + Girls up until age 12 will be automatically combined unless there is enough registrations in the division they are in.
