# CJJA Kids Open – Gladiators Games

**Description:** Welcome to the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament, designed especially for kids and youth aged 6 to 14!

**🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE: This tournament is ONLY for kids with a maximum of 6 months of training! 🚨**

This is an ideal opportunity for beginner competitors. This tournament is a great way for young grapplers to gain their very first valuable experience, test their skills in a friendly and safe environment, and take home great memories from the tatami.

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free tournament, we kindly ask everyone to arrive on time. 😉

*Note: The tournament will be divided into groups. Parents will be informed in advance about their child's specific group and approximate match times via the Smoothcomp system.*

The tournament fully follows the official rules of the**IBJJF**(International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation).
Competitors will fight in Gi (kimonos). Check-in always takes place in the Gi the competitor will wear for their matches. Permitted Gi colors and the scoring system comply with current IBJJF standards for kids' categories (taking into account the beginner level).

Categories will be divided primarily by age and weight for beginners (white belts). Below is the official IBJJF age breakdown for ages 6 to 14.

*(The organizer reserves the right to merge weight classes in case of a low number of kids in a specific category, ensuring every competitor gets an adequate number of matches. This will always be done with the children's safety in mind and with the consent of the coach/parent).*
