# DHGS: SPRING BANFF OPEN 2024 > Competition in Banff, Alberta, Canada | April 13, 2024 – April 14, 2024 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** DHGS is a round robin style tournament, where everyone will be grouped with closest participants in skill, weight, (and age for kids). We will use this information to make full brackets of 5 competitors (or as close to as possible ensuring the matches are fair). PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU WILL MAKE THE WEIGHT (LBS NOT KG) YOU WROTE ON YOUR REGISTRATION FORM.  Should you have any requests for your bracket ie: fighting up in weight or belt, or your weight not reading correctly at registration, please feel free to leave a note about this on the registration, or we can do it as admin if you reach out to dhgrapplingseries@gmail.com.  This will help steer us in the right direction when finalizing brackets. Once the brackets get published, please check to make sure you have been placed in the correct bracket.  Please note: We will NOT be accepting changes to registration before June 1 or after June 18 EVENT SCHEDULE Venue opens: 8:00 AM Kids, Youth weigh in : 8:30AM - 9:30AM Kids, Youth Matches begin: 10:00 AM Adult Weigh in 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Event Superfights - EST. 12:00PM ESTIMATED COMPETITION SCHEDULE: Please note: the following schedule is just an estimation to help spectators plan their day. Competitors MUST be weighed in before their weigh-in cut off time. It is the athletes responsibility to ensure they are ready when their bracket gets called to bullpen. Youth No-Gi: 10:00 AM Teen No-Gi: 10:30 AM Men Elite: 12:45 PM Women Elite: 12:45 PM Women Intermediate: 12:45 PM Men Advanced: 1:00 PM Women Novice: 1:30 PM Men Intermediate: 2:15 PM Men Novice: 2:30pm REGISTRATION PRICES. Early Bird - $80 Regular - $100 Late - $125 Kids/teens - $80 REGISTRATION CLOSES ONE WEEK BEFORE COMPETITION, NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON COMPETITION DAY. REFUND POLICY: The registration fee may be refundable if the cancellation is requested prior to the end of normal registration.  Athletes who drop registration prior to Normal Registration closing are entitled to a credit for any future Dark Horse Grappling event (coupon valid 3 years) Athletes who cancel after normal registration has closed will not be entitled to a refund, or coupon.
