# English Open Pro > Competition in London, England, United Kingdom | May 05, 2023 – May 06, 2023 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** The English Open NoGi Pro qualifiers will be held on Friday 5th May at 7pm. The venue is Sportsdock, University of East London, E16 2RD. **Rules.** 5 minute matches. IBJJF black belt nogi rules on legal submissions, resets and penalties. No points. Referee and judges (3 total) will decide on a winner if there is no submission, based on who came closest to winning or played the most attacking game. Penalties will be taken into account when judges and referee make their decision. 4 serious fouls will be a DQ. 1 Severe foul will be a DQ. Athletes will be allowed one coach matside. The event is open to BJJ ranks purple and up, as well as black belts in other martial arts or competition standard wrestlers and MMA fighters. There are two divisions, Under 80kg and Under 100kg. Matches will be submission only rules. If the match is not decided by submssion then the referee and judges will make a decision based on who was closest to winning the match, or trying to win the match. Weigh ins will be on Friday, just before your first match. Competitors must weigh in with their competition uniform. If you fail to make weight you will be DQ'd. You will not be able to move divisions. If you qualify for the Pro divisions you will not need to weigh in again, as pro competitors can weigh in on Friday. Rashguard and shorts must be worn. Ranked equipment not required. Free car parking is available behind the facility. Spectator fees are £20 per person, payable on the day. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or admission.
