# Fishkill Grappling Challenge > Competition in Fishkill, New York, United States | October 19, 2025 – October 20, 2025 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** **"By Athletes, For Athletes"** Battle Grappling- Fishkill Grappling Challenge is a unique tournament offering the chance to compete in an exciting and dynamic format. These will be submission/pin-only grappling matches with the athlete having the chance to win by submission, or by positional dominance via pinning their opponent. Early Weigh in begins 12 pm on Saturday October 18th, and ends at 2 pm. Early weigh in will take place at: Evolution Grappling Academy320 Main St, Ste B, Beacon, NY 12508 Fishkill Grappling Challenge will be held on Sunday, October 19th. The event will be hosted at: Fishkill Recreation Center - Main Hall: 793 ROUTE 52, Fishkill, NY 12524 Athletes are expected to weigh in ready in their competition gear (Rash Guards and shorts or spats/Singlet). Once an athlete has weighed in they are good to go and do not need to weigh in again. Early Weigh in begins 12 pm on Saturday October 18th, and ends at 4 pm. Early weigh in will take place at: Evolution Grappling Academy320 Main St, Ste B, Beacon, NY 12508 **All other weigh-ins will take place on the day of the event, at the event center, starting at 9 am. **If an athlete fails to make weight by the start time of their division, they will be disqualified.If an athlete needs to move weight division this must be communicated to event staff by Saturday October 18th. All brackets are round-robin. This means that each athlete will have a match against each other athlete in that bracket (maximum 4 matches in one division). To determine bracket progression: The athlete with the highest point total once all matches in a bracket are complete will be assigned 1st place, with the athlete earning the next highest point total in 2nd place, and so on. Brackets with 6 or more competitors will be split into two round-robin pools. The top two competitors from each pool will advance to a 4-person single elimination bracket to determine final placement. Any point ties will be decided by head-to-head match results.
