# GOAT BEACH CLASSIC

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** This will be a one of a kind**beach wrestling competition**held on 08/02/24 starting 11am at North New Brighton Beach (in front of the North Beach Surf Lifesaving Club). For those who came to the Goat Invitational, you know that we run a solid event and this will be**no different**.

We're looking at some nice thick medals, good vibes, spot prizes, and a $200**CASH PRIZE**for the winners of the divisions (adults).

We see this as a perfect opportunity for all sides off the local martial arts community; wresters, grapplers, judokas, and mma fighters to come together for a day at the beach.

**Here's how it works:**

- Push someone out of the ring = 1 point

- Take someone down = 1 point

Best of three points wins. That's it.

To encourage entries:

**WE ARE OFFERING, A FREE 1 HOUR TAKEDOWN/ WRESTLING SESSION**and rules breakdown with Commonwealth wrestler Matt Oxenham and Olympic level shit talker Jackson Stanley, at your gym once if you pull in 5 sign ups.

**Divisions:**

**Mens:**Under 80, Under 100, 100+  and Absolute.

**Womens:**Weight Brackets will be made up of the 4 closest athletes in weight. We will be avoiding weight differences of over 10kg.  (contact us for details)

**Under 10's, 10-13's and 14-16's:**Weight Brackets will be made up of the 4 closest kids in weight. We will be avoiding weight differences of over 10kg.
