## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** RULES:

The match duration is 5 minutes. If there is no submission within these 5 minutes the referee and two judges will determine the winner based on aggression, submission threats and positional dominance. 

Brackets will be fought after a round robin system. So that everybody has multiple matches.

In the beginner class: no twisting footlocks, wrist locks and neck cranks (IBJJF whitebelt rules)

in the advanced class: no Heelhooks or neck cranks. (Ibjjf blackbelt rules except the heel hooks)

Slams are always forbidden.

Weigh in: 

Weigh in will start at 12:00

You can check your weight in the warm up area as well. For the official weigh in you must wear rashguard and shorts (Same goes for competing)

If you miss weight you will be disqualified and no refund or voucher will be given. So make sure you are signed up in the right weight category.

FAQ:

Q: How many matches will I have?

A: Depending on the amount of people in your category there will be either a round robin (Everybody  fights once against each) or a pool system and then k.o system.

2 Athletes per bracket means best of three.

3-5 Athletes per bracket means round robin everybody vs everybody.

6-10 two pools resulting in a final and match for third place.

Q: When can I see the brackets?

A: Once registration deadline is passed the brackets get released.

Q: How do I know when my matches start? 

A: A REAL-TIME schedule by bracket and REAL-TIME schedule by match order will be featured on Smoothcomp allowing you access to the most up-to-date information available.

Please be in the bullpen area ready to compete as soon as your bracket starts
