# HKJJA Hong Kong Summer Open & HK Team Trial > Competition in Hong Kong, Hong Kong | July 05, 2025 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** 🌟Hong Kong Jiu-Jitsu Festival: Competition & Experience Day🌟 Organized by the***Hong Kong Jiu-Jitsu Association (HKJJA)***, the "***HKJJA Hong Kong Summer Open & HK Team Trial***" on 5 July 2025 at Hong Kong Football Club will feature competitions for kids, teens, and adults, alongside fun, hands-on experience zones. The special “Open Belt” division serves as a trial to select top athletes for the Hong Kong team to compete internationally. Young athletes under 11 may join the training squad to prepare for future international opportunities. Division Adjustment Rules To ensure fair and efficient matchmaking, HKJJA reserves the right to adjust the participant’s division if there are insufficient competitors. Adjustments may be made based on the following rules: 1. Age Adjustment  - Minors: may be moved up to the next older age division  - Masters: may be moved down to a younger age division 2. Weight Adjustment  - Minors: may move up ONE weight class  - Adults / Masters: may move up to TWO weight classes 3. Belt Adjustment  - May move up ONE belt level (color group)   e.g. Minor: White ➝ Grey | Adult: White ➝ Blue Adjustments may involve one or more of the above simultaneously. -------------------------------- Open Belt Competitions (Trial) - Only for valid Hong Kong passport holders.
