## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** Kids matches are 4 min IBJJF points.

Ages 16+ are 5 min submission only with single round of EBI overtime to decide the winner.

Black belts compete for free

The following scoring system is used for all kids matches.

For the safety of all youth competitors, the following techniques are NOT permitted in any kids division.

If the score is tied after 4 minutes:

All competitors ages 16 and up will compete in a submission-only rule set designed to encourage aggressive jiu-jitsu and decisive finishes.

If no submission occurs during regulation, the match will go to one round of EBI-style overtime.
