# Kota Kinabalu International BJJ & NoGi Championship

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** KKBJJ will follow the standard IBJJF rule set and weight categories. Cash prizes will be awarded for the Blue, Purple and Brown Belt Absolute Winners.

​1. Junior division brackets will be made in accordance to closest fit weight match ups on the day. Children are advised NOT to cut weight.

2. Weigh-ins will be done with the Gi on. Allow 2 kgs for the Gi. Separate weigh-ins will be conducted before the No-Gi event commences. Deduct 2kgs from the weight categories for No-Gi.

3. Confirmation of registration will be sent via email to successful applicants. Any KKBJJ enquires should be directed to info.kkbjj@gmail.com

4. Competitors under the age of 18 will require the consent of a parent or legal guardian with parent/guardian’s signature on the waiver form (to be signed on day of competition before entry to the mats).

5. In the event that a division has less than 3 competitors, it will be merged with the closest weight division.

Please take note that the tournament registration fees will be adjusted in accordance to the dates below:

Early Bird Registration 1 - 1st of May 2018

Early Bird Registration 2 - 1st of June 2018

Normal Registration - 1st of July 2018

Late Registration - 1st of August 2018 to the 25th August 2018 (Gi) & 26th August 2018 (NoGi)

Free KKBJJ shirts will be issued to competitors who signed up for Gi and NoGi.

Each shirt is priced at MYR 50.00 (*Subject to stock availability - First come first serve basis).
