# Lockdown 68 > Competition in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia | August 03, 2024 – August 04, 2024 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** The TOP CLUB of the year wins the prestigious *Lockdown Cup* and earns bragging rights as the BEST GRAPPLING CLUB. Lockdown welcomes all grappling styles and offers divisions for all levels of experience and knowledge. ATHLETE REGISTRATION CHECK DAY The Lockdown Series strives to provide a fair and competitive platform for everyone, from first-timers to weekend warriors and seasoned veterans. Lockdown has an athlete registration check day to ensure athletes are registered in the correct divisions. We offer credits and REFUNDS for competitors who are unable to compete up until the day of registration check. We also offer credits and REFUNDS if we are unable to match the competitor. ADULT MATCHES WILL BE CONTESTED AS FOLLOWS: 1 x 5-minute round. If there is no determined winner, both competitors will be given a 1-minute break with the subsequent overtime/eliminator round will be 3 minutes. *DIVISIONS WITH ONLY TWO COMPETITORS: In the case of two competitors in a single weight division, the winner of the division will be based on the best of three 5-minute rounds. TEAM GRAPPLING POINTS: Club points are cumulative for the calendar year. The club with the most points wins the *Lockdown Cup*. Individual medals are also awarded at each Lockdown for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division. WEIGH INS Weigh-ins commence One (1) hour prior to the advertised division starting time. Weigh-ins will be open for Fifty (50) minutes. If you fail to make weight, then you will have the opportunity to make it within the hour. WEIGHT DIVISIONS, EXPERIENCE & ORDER OF COMPETITION The competition divisions and order will be divided by weight and experience level of the competitors as decided by the officials. Weight divisions and experience levels can be combined by the promotion and competitors will be notified prior to the event. *Novice competitors are considered to have under a combined 18 months of submission grappling training (or other grappling disciplines). *Intermediate competitors have between 18 to 36 months of submission grappling training and experience. *Advanced is 36 months of submission grappling training (or similar disciplines) and experience.
