**Description:** Lutador Open was created to offer an accessible, transparent, and professionally organized Jiu-Jitsu tournament with international standards. After six successful editions and our upcoming 7th edition on November 23, the project has become a stable platform for the development of the sport in Costa Rica. Our full 2026 calendar is already confirmed, with events every three months.

The tournament follows the official AJP rule set, ensuring modern, consistent, and internationally aligned technical criteria. We are also pioneers in Costa Rica in the use of Smoothcomp, a platform we have worked with for more than 10 years, allowing us to deliver clear brackets, reliable schedules, and a strong commitment to punctuality.

Our refereeing team is of high quality, with certified referees led by our Head Referee, Ricardo Guerrero (Black Belt), who brings extensive international experience to ensure fairness and transparency in every match.

All events take place at Saint Clare College, a first-class venue that provides comfort, safety, and an optimal environment for athletes, families, and academies.

We invite all competitors to take advantage of early registration, where you’ll find the best available price.

Black Belts: free registration.
Absolute Division Prize: registration fee $30 — 100% of the collected amount is awarded as the prize.
