With all new registration fees. After a year or so of behind the scenes work, lots of paperwork, and many calls. I am thrilled to announce that thanks to our sponsors and the help of the Canadian sports association.  $50 for one division $85 if you sign up for Gi and Nogi. $25 for one Absolutes or $35 for both. Kids: 7-9 and 10-12 will be divided up into Experience level and weight Female Youth: Ages 13-15 and 16-17 will be divided up into Experience level and weight Male Youth: Ages 13-15 and 16-17 will be divided up into Experience level and weight Adult male: Beginner, Intermediate, Advance will be divided up into Adult 18-29, Masters 30-39, Legends 40+ depending on numbers weights: Under 145, 146-160, 161-175, 176-195, 196-215, 216+ Adult female: Beginner, Intermediate, Advance will be divided into Adults 18-29, Masters 30-39, and Legends 40+ depending on numbers. MATCH LENGTH: Kids - 3 minutes Youth - 4 minutes Adult - 5 minutes GI Rules Kids 9 and under: NO GUILLOTINES, DARCE, ANACONDA CHOKE, OMOPLATAS, PULLING ON THE HEAD IN A TRIANGLE, FOREARM CHOKE, CRANKING, WRIST LOCKS, BICEP SLICER, REAPING, JUMPING GUARD, NO SCISSOR TAKEDOWN, NO SPINE MANIPULATION (TWISTER) OR ANYTHING BELOW THE WAIST. Kids 10-12 years old: No standing guillotines, omoplatas, pulling on the head in a triangle, cranking, wrist locks, reaping, jumping guard, scissor takedown, bicep slicer, no spine manipulation,(twister) or anything below the waist. Youth 13-17 years old: No cranking, wrist locks, reaping, jumping guard, scissor takedown, bicep slicer, no spine manipulation,(twister) or anything below the waist. Adult white belt: No jumping guard, scissor takedown, bicep slicer, no spine manipulation,(twister) or anything below the waist except straight ankle. Reaping to sweep or position is legal but no submissions. Adult blue belt: No jumping guard, scissor takedown, no spine manipulation,(twister) or anything below the waist except kneebar, toe hold, and straight ankle. Reaping to sweep or position is legal but no submissions. Adult purple/brown/black: No heel hooks. Reaping to sweep or position is legal but no submissions. Absolute Divisions: No points submission only. No heel hooks. Reaping to sweep or position is legal but no submissions, If there is no submission we will use Ref's decision. All Divisions; No slamming. If there is no submission during the match we will use ref”s decision Divisions Please note divisions may be combined, amended or created depending on registration. Kids don't weigh in (COACHES HONOR) But still have to check in and sign the waiver Youth Weigh-ins will be from 9:00 to 9:30 Adult Weigh-ins will be from 9:30 to 11:30 (please make sure you weigh in before your 1st match or you will be disqualification without refund) you will have a 2 pound allowance You do not have to weigh-in in your GI. Failure to make registered weight will result in disqualification without a refund. ( If the competitor is under 18 a Parent or Guardian must sign the waiver) If by Thursday, November 27, 2025, you don't think you can make the weight let us know by messaging us on Facebook and we can move you up a weight class. ( better to compete with the next group up than not at all ) Brackets and schedule: 24 hours prior to the tournament, the brackets and tentative schedule will be released. A large TV will also display the LIVE schedule at the event. You can also tell when your matches are coming up by checking the smoothcomp event page on your Phone during the Event. We will also make a courtesy call for you before your match. If you fail to present yourself when called you will be disqualification without a refund.
