# Midwest Grappling League 2: X-mas Showdown (Sub Only)

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** •In the event of a stalemate where nobody has been submitted, there will be a sudden death round. Sudden death will consist of one minute per competitor from the back, seatbelt position. The competitor who was most active and dominant throughout the match will begin sudden death at the disadvantage with their back being taken first.

•If competitor subs his opponent within 20 seconds the match stops and competitors will switch back to the  seatbelt position with the new round starting. If the next competitor passes the 20 second time limit,  the match automatically stops and he loses.

 Example: John Doe was most dominate against Joe Dirt. The time ran out with nobody being subbed in the normal round of the bracket, since Joe Dirt was at the disadvantage he gets to start sudden death taking John Doe’s back from seatbelt. Joe Dirt submitted John Doe in 19 seconds. The match stopped and now John Doe takes Joe Dirts back. John Doe gets to 20 seconds without a sub, so match automatically stops and Joe Dirt wins.

•If no subs are recorded during the sudden-death rounds the referee will declare a winner. This referee decision will reflect on the performance of the most dominant competitor during these rounds.
