Spectator Fee: $5 per person Children 10 and under are free This tournament is limited to **approximately 80 competitors** due to facility size. Early registration is strongly encouraged. This tournament was designed specifically for white belts looking to gain competition experience in a structured and supportive environment. If this is your first tournament, our staff will guide competitors through the process from check-in to their first match. Our goal is to provide a competitive but welcoming atmosphere for athletes beginning their competition journey. • Gi divisions only • White belts only • Adult Male and Adult Female divisions • Matches follow IBJJF-style rules • Match time: 5 minutes • Single elimination brackets with bronze medal matches • Divisions with four competitors or fewer may be run in round-robin format to allow multiple matches • Small divisions may be combined with adjacent weight classes if necessary For detailed rules including legal techniques, scoring, and illegal techniques, please review the White Belt Gi Tournament Rules & Format page. The Absolute Division is open to all competitors regardless of placement in their weight division. $200 cash price for MALE & FEMALE DIVISIONS. Weight-ins are 9:00–10:30 AM for ALL competitors regardless of division time. Matches will run on two competition mats. Competitors will be called to the bullpen staging area before their match. Athletes should listen carefully for announcements and monitor Smoothcomp for match updates. Bullpen calls will follow this order: • On Deck – next match • In The Hole – two matches away Competitors who fail to report when called may be disqualified. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded in each division. Medals will typically be presented immediately after the division has finished. Early registration, normal registration, and late registration are available through Smoothcomp. Competitors are encouraged to register early to secure their division, as registration will be capped at approximately 80 competitors. Early Bird: $20 (ended April 30) Regular: $25 (May 1–May 31) Late: $30 (June 1–June 4) Brackets will be visible to competitors on Smoothcomp prior to the event. If a division has no competitors or only one competitor, athletes may choose to move to another weight or age division if available. Competitors are encouraged to review their bracket prior to the event. If a competitor remains alone in their bracket after registration closes, they may contact Montaña Fighting Systems to request assistance moving divisions. Tournament organizers reserve the right to merge or adjust divisions if necessary to ensure fair competition.
