The kids division will begin at 10am Sunday November 20th. The weigh-ins will open at 12pm Friday November 18th. Athletes who cannot weigh in day before can weigh in day of the competition prior to their match. **Tournament Format** All adult divisions will be No-Gi submission only. All kids divisions will be in the Gi. **Weigh Ins** The weigh-ins will go from 12pm-8pm Friday November 18th. Athletes who cannot weigh in day before can weigh in on the day of the competition prior to their match. Adult men can weigh in with only their boxers, adult women will weigh in with sports bras and tights. Kids must weigh in with their Gi's on. **Adult Divisions & Cash Prizes** **Novice (Less than 1 year experience):** Men’s Light Absolute (<175lbs)->no cash prize, medal only Men’s Heavy Absolute (>175lbs)->no cash prize, medal only Women’s True Absolute (open weight) ->no cash prize, medal only **Amateur (Fewer than 3 years experience):** Men's Light Abs (<175lbs) ->$500 to winner Men's heavy Abs (>175lbs) ->$500 to winner Women's True Absolute ->$500 to winner **Advanced (Greater than 3 years experience):** Women’s True Absolute (open weight) -> $1,000 to winner Men’s Light Absolute (<175lbs) ->$1,000 to winner Men’s Heavy Absolute (>175lbs) ->$1,000 to winner **Cost for Adult Divisions** $95 +hst adults (until August 27th) $115 +hst adults (registration after August 27th) **Cost for Kids Divisions** $85 +hst kids (until August 27th) $115 +hst kids (until August 27th) **Refunds** Given this is a cash prize tournament, all sales are final - no refunds. **Mat Arrangement** There will be 3 sectioned off competition areas where competitors grapple labelled mats 1 thru 3 **Broadcast** There will be a live broadcast which will stream live to youtube 2 of 3 active mats. There will be a hired photographer which is available for hire through our photo package option. **Competitor Arrival and use of SmoothComp** Smoothcomp will be used to organize the tournament, however please follow our instagram page @ontariojiujitsuleague for the most current information and tournament schedule. **Attendance** To keep numbers inside the facility reasonable athletes will be limited to 1 coach. Cost to enter for additional spectators will be charged $15. **Warm-Up Area** There will be a designated warm up area located in the rear of the facility where competitors will wait to be called by the ring co-ordinator. **Rules Meeting** There will be an official rules meeting on Friday October 7th at 8pm until 9pm. Attempting these will result in warning and reset and then DQ. No leg locks except for straight ankle lock. No estima locks. No toe holds. No leg reaping. Attempting these will result in immediate DQ. **Adult Advanced Divisions Rules:**flying submissions, flying guard pulls will be permitted. Flying scissor takedowns will also be permitted. Inside and outside heel hooks permitted, reaping permitted, toe holds permitted, knee bars permitted, estima locks permitted. No slamming. If attempted slam results in injury, immediate DQ, otherwise, it will be a warning.
