**Description:** Dear friends and fans of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we invite you to participate in the Paphos BJJ Open 2025 – Gi & No-Gi - 29 NOVEMBER 2025 in Paphos,Cyprus.

This event will be a great opportunity to test your strength, gain new experience and feel the atmosphere of real competitions.

Competition rules and formats

1. Categories and participantsEveryone is welcome — from the youngest beginners to experienced champions!

Children, juniors, adults and masters.
Division by age, weight and belt level (according to IBJJF standards).

2. Fight formats

All participants in the Kids 1, Kids 2, and Kids 3 age categories will have two matches regardless of the outcome of the first one. This format allows each athlete to gain valuable experience, demonstrate their skills, and perform in multiple bouts.

Other children's belts, infant, juniors, teen, juvenile, adults and masters: classic single elimination system - fight for a place on the podium in intense fights.

3. Fight time
Children: 3–4 min.
Juniors: 5 min.
Adults and Masters: 5–6 min.

4. Rules

All matches are held according to the official IBJJF rules.
Equipment: clean kimono (Gi) or No-Gi equipment, in accordance with the regulations.

5. Awards

Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category.
In the Round Robin format - awards are received by each member of the group!
WEIGHINGWeighing will take place at the tournament venue.

Weighing begins at 09:00 and takes place throughout the competition.

ADMISSION by weight of 500 gr. only for athletes up to 11 years old.

Weighing will be conducted without the gi - in shorts and a T-shirt

⚠️ IMPORTANT!

If fewer than two participants register in a weight category, the organizer reserves the right to merge categories (by weight, age, and belt level).

The organizer also reserves the right to close registration early (for some or all divisions) if the maximum number of participants is reached.
