# ROGUE Grappling 8 (redux) - MAYDAY > Competition in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada | October 09, 2021 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** ***NOTE - Pursuant to Section 15.2 (e) of Nova Scotia Public Health Order dated Sep 9, 2021, we've made the difficult decision to change venues from Truro, NS to Sussex, NB. Considering BJJ does not have a recognized Provincial Sport Organization and/or approved association with Sport Nova Scotia, we feel it would be irresponsible to host an event in Nova Scotia for the time being.*** Time to shake off those Covid blues - ROGUE Grappling returns for MAYDAY! One day in the Gi, coming to you from the Encounter Church gym facilities in Sussex, New Brunswick. Check us out on Facebook for more info. **Weight Divisions** Kids will be grouped together as closely as possible by weight and experience level. Men < 145, 146 - 160, 161 - 175, 176 - 190, 191 - 205, 206 - 220, 221+ Women < 130, 131 - 145, 146 - 160, 161 - 175, 176+ **Note**: Divisions may be combined, amended or created depending on registration. Rules (Gi)Kids divisions, Under 9 years old - no submissions permitted; points only Kids divisions, 10 - 12 years old - No standing guillotines, omoplatas, pulling the head in a triangle or submissions below the waist Kids and Youth divisions, 13 - 17 years old - Nothing below the waist, no cranking or reaping Adult, White Belt - Nothing below the waist except straight ankle lock. Adult, Blue Belt - Knee bar, Toe hold, Straight ankle, Wrist lock permitted. Adult, Purple/Brown/Black - All IBJJF Black Belt legal submissions except heel hooks; knee reaping is permitted (ie. a position like 4/11 will not result in a stoppage or DQ) No jumping guard. No slams. No scissor takedown from standing. In the case of draw, matches will be decided by official's decision. In the event of a Round Robin bracket with a tie, the tie breaker will be decided by victories by submissions, followed by fastest submission, followed by point spread, followed by ref's decision. Match Length Kids and Youth - 3 minutes Adults - 5 minutes Absolute - 5 minutes Kids divisions will compete first, followed by Adult advanced belts, Adult beginner belts and ending with Absolutes. Registration, Pricing and Weigh Ins Weigh ins will be done in your competition clothing. Failure to make weight could result in a disqualification without refund. Please note that divisions may be combined or created depending on registrants at any given weight division or experience level. Divisions will be grouped together as close as possible by weight and experience level and are dependent on registrations. We do allow a 1 lbs. weight allowance. Early Registration starts July 9th, 2021 @ midnight and continues through Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 at 23h59. Late Registration starts Monday, October 4th at midnight and registration closes Wednesday, October 6th @ midnight. Weigh Ins will run from 8h30 through 10h, Kids matches will begin at 9h30. Kids and Youth, Early Registration - $45 Adult Male, Early Registration - $70 Adult Female, Early Registration - $55 Absolute Only - $30 Absolute, if competing in another division - $10 To receive the discounted pricing you must have the divisions you want to compete in in your cart at the time of checkout. Refund Policy We will extend a 100% refund for cancellations requested on or before October 3rd, 2021 @ 23h59 and a 75% refund for cancellations received after then but before October 6th 2021 @ 20h.
