## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** FORMAT : Matches will be in a single elimination style bracket ensuring that everyone who wants to compete has the opportunity for at least 2 fights  (Gi/No-Gi)

RULES :  Each team will be awarded 3 points for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, and 1 point for 3rd place. Matches will be fought with the scoring and allowed submissions of the Grappling Industries no-gi beginner division, found at  [http://grapplingindustries.com/rules/](http://grapplingindustries.com/rules/).

Matches will have a 5 minute regular period, followed by a reset and 3 minute overtime in the event of a tie. If a tie persists at the end of the overtime period, a winner will be determined by referee's decision. Competitors will be disqualified for flying attacks targeting the legs and unsportsmanlike conduct at the discretion of the referee.

FAQs:

Brackets will be separated not only by weight, but by skill, in the interest of keeping with competitive collegiate sports.

Blood time will be conducted at the referee's discretion, defaulting to 5 minutes.
