# Stealth Sub Series - Melbourne (November 17) > Competition in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia | November 16, 2024 – November 17, 2024 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** New Zealand's premier submission grappling competition circuit has now launched in Australia! Come prove yourself as one of the best submission artists in the country. Our round robin, unique submission-based format was designed with the competitor in mind, offering you multiple matches to ensure plenty of experience on the mats and maximum competitive value. With shorter rounds and a focus on submissions, our format eliminates stalling and encourages high-paced, action-driven matches that keep competitors fully engaged. Whether it’s your first competition or you're a seasoned grappler, our rules are crafted to deliver the most rewarding experience possible, putting skill, creativity, and technique at the forefront. Event Date: Sunday 17th November Location: Chelsea & District Basketball Association, Cannes Ave Doors open: 9am Rules briefing: 9.45am Matches start: 10am Spectator fee: $20 per adult ($10 for parents/coaches), $5 per child aged 5-12 (under 5s are free) We're always looking for people to help us with setup & packdown (2-3 hours physical labour) in exchange for either free registration or a free set of Stealth apparel of your choice! If you're interested, please let us know ASAP (ideally as soon as the event is announced) so that we can mark you down and approve your entry or secure your gear! Kids & Youths: Pay 1 price for 2 divisions Adults: Pay 1 price for 4 divisions Early registrations - $65 Normal registrations - $75 Late registrations - $85 Any requests for extra-late registrations will incur an additional $30 fee, to account for the manual work we have to do - save us the hassle and yourself the money, and don't leave it to the last minute! We understand competing isn't the cheapest, especially if you have more than one mouth to feed. We've got you covered - register one child to compete, and get 50% off for every additional child! To claim the discount, please follow the below steps: 1. Register and pay for the first child as usual. 2. Register all additional children but leave them as unpaid registrations. 3. Browse to the Smoothcomp accounts of the additional children and provide us their ID number, found at the end of the web URL. 4. Email us at info@stealthgrappling.com requesting for the Multi-Kid Discount - provide the names and Smoothcomp IDs of the additional children so that we can apply the discount to their profiles. We'll be offering cash prizes for the no-gi absolute divisions - however we require a minimum of 6 athletes in the division for the cash prizes to be valid (no sponsors, this is coming from our own pocket). Beginner - $150 Intermediate - $250 Advanced - $500 However, if any of these divisions have 12 or more competitors in it, we'll double the cash prize! We'll be awarding the Team Trophy to the academy with the highest number of points at the end of the day. If you've got a big team competing on the day, try to get everyone to stick around until the end - it could be your gym! For every person you refer to sign up to a Stealth Grappling competition that hasn’t competed with us before, we’ll provide you with a $30 coupon credit for use at any of our competitions. Just ask the athlete to add your full name as a registration note when they enter, then email us so that we can provide the coupon. We'll be selecting 1 division at random, and the winner will be awarded a goodie bag and a $50 gift voucher, for their choice of the Zoo (city of choice), SEA LIFE, Dreamworld, or Zone Bowling! For gyms with at least 5 members signed up to a competition, we’ll provide a free spectator family pass (2 adults, 2 kids) for 1 nominated coach. For gyms with at least 10 members signed up to a competition, we’ll provide a free spectator family pass for 2 nominated coaches. Please email us at info@stealthgrappling.com prior to the competition to provide the names of the nominated coaches. For gyms with 10 or more members registered, we'll pay back $10 per member, as a token of our appreciation for the support. Please check your Academy account on Smoothcomp after the competition to confirm how many members were signed up, then email us an invoice to info@stealthgrappling.com. Athletes who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their divisions will receive high quality gold, silver and bronze medals. Prizegiving will be held as soon as the division ends - if you place 1st, 2nd or 3rd, please go straight to the podium to receive your medal. Gi divisions will be run first, then no-gi - If you're competing in both divisions and you medal in your gi division, please go straight to the podium to receive your medal, before changing into your no-gi gear. If you wish to edit your registration (change skill or weight class), you can do this any time up until registrations close, by going into your Smoothcomp account, finding the registration, and clicking 'Edit'. If you get injured before registrations close, you can process a full refund yourself at any time, by cancelling your entry from your Smoothcomp account. So don't worry about paying for your entry and then getting stuck out of pocket - we've got you covered. If you are injured between registrations closing and the start of the tournament, you are entitled to a full credit for use at any of our future competitions - please email us at info@stealthgrappling.com to arrange this. If you're still alone when registrations close, we'll attempt to find a suitable division by merging you up one category in either age or weight. If we still cannot find you a division or you're unhappy with a merge, then we'll process a full refund. So don't worry about paying for your entry and then getting stuck out of pocket - you'll either get matches or your money back. We send out emails on the Wednesday and Thursday prior to the competition containing important information regarding the groupings and brackets, and provide the opportunity to request/question any changes made to your division.
