If you come by car there is free parking on-site. At the campus gate mention you are participating in the competition. At the venue, there is a Cafe selling food and beverages. The weight allowance is one pound. You can weigh in without the Gi. You can use Gi of any colour. Kids and Juvenile: IBJJF Ruleset. Adults: UKGCC Rulest Match times are dynamic, check Smoothcomp for the latest updates. ** UK Grapplers Combat Club invites you to join us for the UKGCC London tournament. The competition is taking place at University of East London Sports Dock 2024 and is open to all BJJ belt levels in adult divisions. The competition will be held in Sports Dock which is a modern, large venue with changing rooms, shower facilities and spacious on-site parking. The times and schedules will be updated in real time and accessible to the general public on smart devices through the SmoothComp platform. We will have a fully qualified first-aider experienced in providing assistance to BJJ competitions and a top quality team of international level, IBJJF qualified referees. Click on the Register button to view it. Not showing up or missing weight results in disqualification without a refund. Weigh-in is on the event day. Weight is without GI, and there's 1 pound weight allowance. Modify your weight division until March 19th via Smoothcomp or email us. Failure to meet weight requirements leads to disqualification without a refund. Doors open at 9.30 am for weigh-ins, and matches commence at 10.30 am. Brackets are published here on Smoothcomp 48 hours before the event starts. Times are dynamic and updated in real-time, please keep an eye on the latest updates. The event aims to conclude around 5.30 pm. This may well be your first competition. IBJJF can be tricky for beginners, especially white and blue belts. We want to give all levels the pleasure to focus on hunting submissions rather than points. The idea comes from ADCC and WNO rulesets, with some tweaks to make it more suitable for amateur competitors. A simple point system rewards the most dominant player even when a submission is not achieved. There is a penalty for stalling. Each penalty costs 1 point. Failed submission attempt, mount and back take award 1 point. Stalling 20 seconds costs 1 point and restart is in closed guard or back taken, opponent’s choice.
