The 2026 VJJC (Victorian State Championship) is Australia's longest running event being first run in 1995. It boasts 5 STAR National Ranking Points - 45 Gold, 15 Silver, 5 Bronze.

Early bird entries close at Midnight on Tuesday the 28th April - Late and final entries (at a slightly higher fee) close at Midnight on Tuesday the 12th May.
Last chance to change yourself out of a single fighter category to a different age or different weight is Wednesday midnight on the 13th May.
in a single fighter category after midnight on Wednesday the 13th of May will collect the gold medal without a fight (no individual and no team points awarded and no refunds for anyone left in a single fighter category after the 13th May)
It is now 100% the responsibility of all competitors to move themselves from a single fighter category to a legal populated category.
- can only go up in weight
- can go up in weight or down in age as far as the Adult categories.
- can only move up in age from Juvenile 1 to Juvenile 2 and or up in weight.
- Can only move up in age and or weight and are not allowed in the Juvenile categories.
Competitors can not change belt categories.
Competitors can only register once in each division i.e. Once in Gi and once in Nogi.
Changes can be made by the competitor online through the registration in the 24 hours of "Check and Change Day" - Wednesday 13th May.
If a competitor requires assistance with the change they must email info@AFBJJ.com with all details including competitors name and exact category to be moved to. This email must be received before the end of "Check and Change Day" - midnight 13th May.
A full 100% refund is available before registrations close at Midnight on Tuesday the 12th of May.
A full 100% refund remains available until the end of Check and Change day at Midnight on Wednesday the 13th of May..
No Refunds are available after Midnight on Wednesday the 13th of May. This applies also to competitors who have opponents withdraw on the day leaving them in a single fighter category.
Any competitor including in a single fighter category after midnight on the 13th of May will collect the gold medal without a fight - No Individual, NO Team points and NO Refunds!
An extra mat will be available at the event for all first round losers and those who did not have a fight. Those concerned must go to the mat coordinator for this mat and register their interest to participate. Note: Considering the National and International rules, the results from this mat will not form part of the event results or rankings. Participants can only be those with an original registration in the VJJC26 Possible match ups need to be approved by a parent or guardian. (This Consolation Fight option is only available to persons who remain in the competition not for those who receive a full refund and exit the competition and is for Juniors and Juveniles only!)

* Depending on numbers Master NoGi may be Saturday afternoon/evening.
