Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Athens is one of the pioneering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies in Greece, part of the prestigious Alliance team network with over 300 affiliates worldwide and a 13x World Champion title. Founded by legendary masters Romero Cavalcanti (Jacaré), Fabio Gurgel (General), and Alexandre Paiva (Gigi) in 1993, Alliance has produced some of the sport's greatest champions including Bruno Malfacine, Cobrinha, Leonardo Leite, Bernardo Faria, Michael Langhi, and Marcelo Garcia. The Athens academy offers a comprehensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training experience in beautiful 300m² facilities featuring a main mat area of 130m², a secondary mat area of 50m², and fully equipped locker rooms with showers. The clean and safe training environment provides the perfect setting for students of all levels to develop their skills in the gentle art. Head instructor David Dimopoulos Said brings exceptional credentials to the academy. Born in Fortaleza, Brazil in 1983, David began his BJJ journey at age 12 in 1995 and earned his black belt in 2010 under the legendary professors Fernando Soluço and Fabio Gurgel. As one of Greece's BJJ pioneers and an active competitor, he holds multiple national and international titles including IBJJF European Championship gold medals (2022, 2020) and bronze medals at the IBJJF World Master Championship. His extensive competition experience and deep understanding of the Alliance methodology make him an exceptional instructor for students seeking to excel in both sport and self-defense applications of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
