2 Brothers BFC is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team founded in 1995 in Brasília, Brazil by brothers Júlio "Pudim" César da Silva Lima and Sandro "Bala" da Silva Lima. Both brothers are students of Mestre Banni Cavalcanti, who trained under the legendary Mestre Carlson Gracie, establishing the lineage: Carlson Gracie → Banni Cavalcanti → 2 Brothers BFC. The two brothers grew up in a family of martial artists, training in judo, capoeira, wrestling, and Thai boxing before finding their passion in Jiu-Jitsu. In 1999, Júlio traveled to Hawaii to train with his friend Marcelo Tigre at Team Tiger Academy. That same year, Sandro emigrated to Portugal seeking better quality of life, and in 2000 he opened an academy in Costa da Caparica, becoming one of the major figures responsible for promoting Jiu-Jitsu in Portugal. Today, the 2 Brothers BFC team has grown internationally with over 20 years of dedication to teaching Jiu-Jitsu. The team has multiple locations across Brazil, Portugal, México, Angola, and Belgium. The founders continue to influence generations of students with their philosophy: "Train! Train so that those who come to fight you feel the quarry that you are." - Júlio "Pudim" Lima Main instructors include Júlio "Pudim" Lima (5th degree black belt), Sandro "Bala" Lima (4th degree black belt), Claudio Lima (3rd degree black belt), Marco Lima (3rd degree black belt), and Claudio Dias (2nd degree black belt).
