With prestigious titles including No-Gi World Champion and IBJJF Pan American medalist, Diego brings an exclusive methodology to Pensacola built from years of international competition experience and world-class training. The academy focuses on using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a comprehensive tool for self-defense, personal growth, healthy weight loss, and lifestyle transformation. The training philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, real-world urban self-defense applications, and creating a welcoming environment where students of all levels can develop discipline, focus, and self-confidence. Classes are structured to provide both physical conditioning and mental development, with emphasis on respect, empathy, and consistent progression. Diego's mission extends beyond training competitive athletes—he welcomes everyone from complete beginners to high-level competitors, offering specialized programs for kids (ages 3-15), women seeking empowerment and self-protection skills, and adults looking for effective self-defense and fitness alternatives to traditional gyms. It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
