Black Tie Jiu-Jitsu Tallahassee, led by Professor Shane Weinischke, offers comprehensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in Tallahassee, Florida. The academy provides instruction in both gi and no-gi grappling, kickboxing, and wrestling for students of all ages and skill levels. Professor Shane Weinischke is a 2nd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu who has trained at prestigious academies including the BJJ Art Academy in Itacoatiara, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the world-renowned De La Riva Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Copacabana. As a retired professional Mixed Martial Artist who debuted in 2006, Shane competed at the highest regional level with victories in The RFC: Reality Fighting Championship, Island Fights, and other promotions throughout the Southeast. He has been actively competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2005 and continues to train and compete regularly. Beyond coaching, Shane has extensive experience as a promoter, having organized and hosted over a dozen amateur competition events, and has served as a certified judge, referee, and commissioner throughout the State of Florida. The coaching team includes four additional black and brown belts: Joshua Elliott (Black Belt, amateur MMA record 5-4 with 3 submission victories, SEC Bantamweight Champion, NewBreed Jiu Jitsu Federation Advanced No Gi Champion), Gus Martinez (Black Belt, training since 2016, U.S. Army Veteran, full-time ICU Nurse), Jacqi Martin (Brown Belt, Copa America No Gi Champion, Fuji Gold Medalist, training since 2011, Yoga Instructor), and Stephen Khandjian (Brown Belt, amateur MMA victory by submission, full-time Paramedic). The academy offers specialized programs including morning classes, all-levels fundamentals, juniors programs (wrestling and BJJ), competition team training, open mat sessions, and personal coaching for functional fitness, self-defense, kickboxing, wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Caridian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was established in 2020 by Professor Alan Ribeiro, a black belt under Fabio Novaes. Located in Tampa, Florida, Caridian BJJ offers a welcoming environment for practitioners of all skill levels to learn and grow in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Alan Ribeiro is a lifelong athlete who began his journey as a competitive swimmer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He moved to the United States at age 14 to pursue his swimming career, earning a scholarship at Florida State University where he helped coach both Men's and Women's teams to Atlantic Coast Conference Championship titles. Alan committed fully to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2010 when he met his professor, Fabio Novaes, in Lakeland, FL. He has been teaching under Fabio Novaes since 2016. Professor Alan's competition accomplishments include being an IBJJF Pan American champion, multiple-time IBJJF champion, Newbreed Advanced champion, multiple-time NAGA champion, and American Grappling Federation Advanced champion. His teaching philosophy focuses on making Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu accessible to everyone while maintaining high technical standards. The gym offers flexible membership options including 2x per week, 3x per week, and unlimited training plans, with special rates for kids, military members, and students of Fabio Novaes.
