Originally founded in 2008, Atos has grown into a powerhouse team with over 70 affiliate academies around the globe. Atos Reno was the first of those affiliates, originally operated by Kelley Perotti, 3rd degree Black Belt and 2x Masters World Champion. In November 2023, Arturo Espinoza took over ownership of Atos Reno Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a fitting transition. Arturo was Kelley's longtime family friend and the first student to earn his black belt under her mentorship, receiving his black belt in 2016 from Professor Andre Galvao. With 11 years of teaching experience and multiple championships, Arturo is excited to share his passion for BJJ and continue the legacy of both Atos and Kelley. At Atos Reno, every student is important - there's no "one size fits all" formula for BJJ training. The academy approaches each student with individualized care and support, creating a positive environment where students can grow as a person, regardless of whether they're here as a hobbyist, competitor, or to learn self-defense. Lead instructor Kelley Perotti brings over 32 years of coaching experience, including 20 years teaching Jiu-Jitsu. As a 5th degree Black Belt in martial arts and 3rd degree Black Belt in BJJ, she is a 2x World Champion and 10x Pan Am medalist.
