Ithaca BJJ School was established in 2021 by Professor Matt Sung Lee, 2nd-degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, as a safe place for children and adults to learn Martial Arts. My mission for Ithaca BJJ School is to provide a safe environment for children and adults to learn Martial Arts, and to inspire confidence, motivation and inspiration in my students through dedicated training.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.
