Jinho Martial Arts Academy is a premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school located in Grapevine, Texas, serving the Grapevine, Colleyville, and Mid-Cities area. Founded and led by Professor Jinho Kim and Coach Soojeong Hyon, the academy has earned a reputation as the top Jiu Jitsu school and character development center in the metroplex. The academy's philosophy centers on creating a POSITIVE, safe, injury-free training environment that allows students to learn self-defense, get in shape, and develop character. They believe that everyone deserves to be the best version of themselves they can be, offering comprehensive programs for students as young as 3 years old through adults. Professor Jinho Kim, the owner and head instructor, holds black belts in Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Taekwondo. He graduated from Daegyeong University majoring in Secret Service and has been teaching martial arts in the US since 2004. Professor Kim has won numerous medals in various competitions and even received a Korean citizenship Award for apprehending criminals. Coach Soojeong Hyon, owner and kids instructor, holds a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo and graduated from Gyeongwon University with a major in Taekwondo. She medaled at many competitions including gold at the European championships and bronze at the Korean championship, and has been teaching in the US since 2004 alongside her husband.
