Closed Guard: Failed Hip Bump Sweep To Arm In Guillotine #bjj #grappling #nogi #jiujitsu #longmont

Here from closed guard we break our opponents posture. When he reclaims his posture we follow him up opening our guard and attacking with the hip bump sweep. We fail to capture his left arm which he plants to avoid the sweep and begins to drive back into us. Our left arm wraps deep around the neck and we connect our hands in our opponents left armpit. Landing on our left hip, we set the choke throwing our right leg over the back to prevent the roll and finish the strangle using the big muscles in our back.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
