BJJ Competition Prep | All Access Ep. 4

From 10th Planet Newark Ohio

November 6, 2026

Competition season is close, so this week every drill was about one question: what do I need to work on?
Coach Jon runs the team through get-up rounds, takedown rounds and front headlock rounds, coaches Jake and Hai
through killing the underhook, and shows Jake how to stand on one leg, pass to knee on belly and pull his leg free. Pick one
position, find out if you're good or bad at it, and fix it before you compete.

Filmed over a week of classes at 10th Planet Newark in Heath, Ohio.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
