Buchecha & Rodolfo in MMA: The Reality No One Talks About

From Bernardo Faria BJJ Fanatics

It honestly hurts to see the negative comments about Buchecha and Rodolfo, two of the most accomplished grapplers in history. Both are World Champions and ADCC winners, which already puts them in a very rare category. But succeeding in MMA under current rules is a completely different challenge, especially when fights are short, resets happen on the feet, and you don’t always get enough time to work your jiu-jitsu. On top of that, they started MMA later than many modern fighters, who have been training since they were kids. In this video, I share my perspective on why judging them harshly doesn’t tell the full story and why they deserve a lot more respect.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
