Kron Gracie has publicly disputed claims made by Chris Bones, who has been presenting himself as a Rickson Gracie black belt. Kron, son of Rickson Gracie, stated unequivocally that Bones is not a black belt under his father, calling the claim "a joke" and emphasizing that Rickson Gracie has only promoted a select few individuals to black belt, none of whom include Chris Bones.

The controversy highlights the importance of legitimate lineage and belt promotion within the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community. Bones has reportedly been teaching and promoting himself based on this disputed claim, which has drawn criticism from those familiar with the Gracie family's strict standards for belt progression. Kron's intervention serves to protect his father's legacy and the integrity of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu system.

This incident underscores the ongoing issue of fraudulent belt claims in BJJ, which can mislead students and devalue the hard-earned achievements of legitimate practitioners. Kron Gracie's direct refutation aims to clarify the situation and uphold the authenticity of Rickson Gracie's black belt lineage, reinforcing the message that such claims will be challenged by the Gracie family.
