Stepping into a failing operation is never easy, especially when the very people you are trying to save turn against you. I walked into a situation where only a fraction of students were paying, and the entire system was bleeding out. Fixing the mess meant embracing confrontation and friction, even when it made me question why I was even there. The doubt was real—I didn't need the stress, and I certainly didn't need the hostility. But I stayed because I believed in the vision and the long-term impact that was promised years ago. Leadership isn't about being liked; it's about doing what is necessary to save the mission.
