WORLD MASTER 2026 — The Fight

After months of preparation, training and sacrifice, the day finally arrived.

I stepped onto the mats at the IBJJF World Master in Las Vegas, competing in the Master 5 Black Belt division.

My first fight went my way, winning 7–0.

The second fight was a completely different story. It was a very close match, decided by just two points, and unfortunately this time the result went against me.

Of course, I wanted to go further. But this is competition, and there are always lessons to take from every fight.

At 52 years old, I’m still chasing the same feeling that made me fall in love with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu all those years ago.

This is the reality of competing at the highest level: you win, you lose, you learn, and you come back.
