Great game to keep it fun but also develop skills for top player and bottom player.
Top player has to get into a dominant position and grab the pearl (ball). It helps top player to focus on using their grips and getting more control of the legs in order to pass bottom player’s guard and finding dominant position. Also it helps them to “fight” more often bottom player’s arms.
Bottom player has to protect the “pearl” at all costs. That helps bottom player to develop a more dynamic guard retention since they have to use their legs much more than their arm because they’re holding the pearl. It also helps bottom player to create a more consistent inside position with their arm since they’re holding the “pearl” onto their chest, which also helps them not over extend their arms becoming too vulnerable.
Game easily introduced to our Minne Grappler Program. 3 to 7 year old.
