Truck Driver Takedown
Short video showing how to make it fun practicing this takedown.
We called it truck driver takedown (advancing foot sweep takedown).
Start with kids facing each other in base with their collar and sleeve grips on. The driver can drive their truck in three different roads. Forward road, backwards road and/or sideways road.
Driver is established by breaking partners grip out of their collar (just the driver gets to keep both hands on the steering wheel).
Then they start their engines, honk their horns and start driving, step on the brake, push break pedal, turn and park, and add the hand brake on at the end.
The final goal is do the whole move and complete the task.
They can practice with three people together. One is the driver, one is the passenger and the other one is the traffic control officer. The goal is driver to drive when the sign says go, and stop and park their truck when the sign says stop. We brake this learning process is few pieces and this video shows them doing the whole sequence already.
Driver has to drive, step on the break pedal (connect the bottom of your foot on their ankle), push the brake pedal (fast and clean tap on their opponent’s foot) as they turn the steering wheel to park (pull down the sleeve punch up the collar with a little rotation motion on both arms) and after the truck is parked (takedown is done), they have to put the hand brake on (armbar).
