2025 Recap: One Year. One Team. One Mat.

From @Jiu-Jitsu NYC

December 24, 2025

2025 wasn’t just another year — it was a chapter written one class, one round, and one person at a time.

Early mornings. Late nights. Wins, losses, first classes, promotions, hard days, and unforgettable moments. What makes this place special isn’t just the training — it’s the people who keep showing up, pushing each other, and choosing growth together.

Thank you to every student, parent, coach, and teammate who made this year what it was. This is more than a gym. This is our community.

Here’s to everything we built in 2025 — and everything still to come. 🥋❤️

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
