So, I was talking to Damian about this, but um, it's like with lifting, you know, you you lift you do like a muscle group or you take a day off in between and then you do the next muscle group. With cardio, do you think it should be like you do hard cardio and then you give it time to like recover essentially, like to allow that what you just did to like take place or could you do cardio every day essentially? Speaker 1: I think your cardiovascular system recovers faster than muscles. Um, but you should definitely take time to recover and you should work different types of cardio, like the different zones. Um, uh, and definitely take days in between. Like I was talking about this with uh, J Ortiz and he was like asking me what days he should do cardio. I was like, you should do it twice a week. Do it at the beginning, like Monday or Tuesday. Have good recovery, like lighter days pre-comp and then that at the end of Saturday, which is gonna be like your hardest comp day, do cardio at the end of that. So, you do it when you're pretty fresh and then you do it uh, when you're the most tired you're gonna be is after Saturday's live session. Speaker 2: Twice a week, you think that's good enough? Speaker 1: I think that's plenty, bro. Speaker 2: And both are gonna be like sprinting cardios or. Speaker 1: It's gonna I think you should I think you should do a balance of like some long endurance and then some sprinting. The closer you're gonna get to comp, you wanna replicate the competition. So, like if Ortiz has a six-minute uh, you know, ADCC match, like let's make that six minutes hell, you know? And then plus plus an overtime. Speaker 2: Mm-hm. Speaker 1: I do think, though, like like I think pretty much every day or bare minimum every other day, you should be doing like zone two cardio for like 30 minutes. It's like, if you do monitor your heart rate, zone two is probably between like 130 or we'll say like 125 and 140, we'll say. Is like zone two. Or maybe 120 to 140. Somewhere in there. But it's like, you should be able to have a conversation and you just keep that for fucking 30 minutes at least, like maybe like 60 minutes.
