Augusto Araújo

Professor Augusto Araújo, known as "Padrinho," is a 4th degree black belt and founder of Brothers Gym Jiu-Jitsu. He holds a degree in Information Technology and began training jiu-jitsu in January 2002. After practicing various martial arts including karate, capoeira, judo, and muay thai, he found his passion in jiu-jitsu. He received his black belt on December 10, 2011, from Master Rodrigo Castro (7th degree black and red belt). Professor Augusto is a highly accomplished competitor with multiple championships including the 2024 Brazilian Championship (weight and absolute), Gran Slam PBJJF 2024, São Paulo Open 2022, AJP Tour titles, and international victories in Orlando, Florida. He is certified in first aid (2023) and CBJJ refereeing (2022). He is registered with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Confederation (CBJJ) as a 4th degree black belt.
