About

Brian McLaughlin is a 2nd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and professional MMA fighter. He began training martial arts at age 15 after friends were attacked in street fights. A true mixed martial artist, Brian has trained extensively under Muay Thai world champions, professional boxers, Olympic wrestlers and Judokas, and has trained in Korea, Japan, Brazil, and alongside numerous members of the Gracie family. As a competitor, he is an Ultimate Fighter 8 quarterfinalist, Ring of Combat Lightweight Champion, Sportfighting Lightweight Champion, and 2008 Northeast MMA Fight of the Year Medalist. In grappling, he is a 5-time Professional Superfight winner with victories over Ryan Hall, Wilson Reis, and Enrico Cocco, 5-time NAGA Expert Division Champion, IBJJF Pan Ams Silver Medalist (Brown Belt), and ADCC North American Trials Bronze Medalist. He also holds a 2-0 amateur boxing record. Brian was hand-selected by the United States Army to train the Ft. Hood Combatives Team.
