>

## Overview

**Name:** Cory Walker

**Nickname:** Skywalker

**Date of Birth:** June 29, 1993 (age 33)

## Bio

A blue belt IBJJF world champion in the adult division, Cory Walker pulled off one of jiu-jitsu’s rarest feats by winning the IBJJF World Championships as a brown belt in 2022 while working a full-time job at the US Treasury Department. A product of Team Lloyd Irvin’s youth program under Master Donnie and Lloyd Irvin himself, Walker was first exposed to grappling at an Irvin summer camp in 2002 after growing up fascinated by Bruce Lee films. His degree in IT and Sociology and his demanding government career kept him from training full-time, yet he still climbed the ranks to earn his black belt shortly after that 2022 world title.
